You can delete your Gate Counter account and its data at any time. The fastest way is inside the app — it takes effect immediately, without waiting for anyone to answer you.
From the app
- Open Gate Counter and go to Settings.
- Under your account, tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You will be asked to sign in again — it is how we make sure it is really you, and not someone who found your phone unlocked.
By email
If you cannot open the app — you changed phone, you lost access, the app was uninstalled — write to floridos.marpepa@gmail.com from the address of the account. We answer within 30 days, usually far sooner.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address and display name.
- Your events saved on that phone, with their counts and history.
- Your place in shared events, and the record of which events you joined.
- The record of which report unlocks belong to you.
Events you own are deleted for everyone. If other people were counting at your event, that event, its charts and its report disappear for them too. The app tells you how many before you confirm.
What stays, and why
Counts already recorded inside other people's events stay with those events. They are that event's record — those people really did walk through the door — and they belong to whoever owns the event, not to you. They carry an internal identifier that, once your account is gone, no longer points to anyone.
Payment receipts are held by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat, our purchase verifier, for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Deleting the account does not cancel an active subscription: manage it from the App Store or Google Play, otherwise it keeps renewing.
Eliminare il tuo account
Puoi eliminare il tuo account Gate Counter e i suoi dati quando vuoi. La via più rapida è dentro l'app: ha effetto subito, senza aspettare che qualcuno ti risponda.
Dall'app
- Apri Gate Counter e vai in Impostazioni.
- Sotto il tuo account, tocca Elimina account.
- Conferma. Ti verrà chiesto di rifare l'accesso: serve a essere sicuri che sia davvero tu, e non chi ha trovato il telefono sbloccato.
Per email
Se non riesci ad aprire l'app — hai cambiato telefono, hai perso l'accesso, l'app è stata disinstallata — scrivi a floridos.marpepa@gmail.com dall'indirizzo dell'account. Rispondiamo entro 30 giorni, di norma molto prima.
Cosa viene eliminato
- L'account: indirizzo email e nome visualizzato.
- I tuoi eventi salvati su quel telefono, con conteggi e storico.
- La tua presenza negli eventi condivisi e l'elenco di quelli a cui ti sei unito.
- Il registro di quali sblocchi del report sono tuoi.
Gli eventi di cui sei proprietario spariscono per tutti. Se altre persone stavano contando al tuo evento, quell'evento, i suoi grafici e il suo report spariscono anche per loro. L'app ti dice quanti sono prima che tu confermi.
Cosa resta, e perché
I conteggi già registrati dentro gli eventi di altri restano a quegli eventi. Sono la verità di quell'evento — quelle persone sono entrate davvero — e appartengono a chi l'evento lo possiede, non a te. Portano un identificativo interno che, sparito il tuo account, non punta più a nessuno.
Le ricevute di pagamento restano ad Apple o Google e a RevenueCat, il verificatore degli acquisti, per il tempo che impongono le regole contabili e fiscali. Eliminare l'account non annulla un abbonamento attivo: quello si gestisce da App Store o Google Play, altrimenti continua a rinnovarsi.
