These terms describe what you may do with Gate Counter, what you pay for if you choose to, and — the part that matters most — what the app does not promise.
Who provides the app
Gate Counter is made by Floridos Marpepa, an individual developer. Contact: floridos.marpepa@gmail.com.
Your licence
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not resell it, rent it, or try to extract its source code.
The capacity limit is a tool, not a certification. Gate Counter counts what you tell it to count. It does not verify that a venue's authorised capacity is correct, it does not detect people who enter without being counted, and it does not replace the checks required by the authority that set that limit. Responsibility for the safety of an event stays entirely with whoever runs it.
Account
Some features — sharing an event across several devices, keeping your purchases after reinstalling — need an account. Keep your credentials to yourself: anything done from your account counts as done by you. You can ask for your account and its data to be deleted at any time, as described in the privacy policy.
What you can buy
The app is free to use. Two things cost money:
- Unlocking the report of a single event — a one-off payment. That event's PDF stays available to your account afterwards. Other events are not included.
- The subscription — removes advertising and unlocks the report of every event for as long as it is active. Monthly or yearly: same thing, different rhythm of payment.
Renewal and cancellation
Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account. A subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You cancel it in your store account settings — not here, and not inside the app, because only the store can do it.
Prices
Prices are always the ones your store shows you, in your currency, including whatever tax applies where you are. Any figure written on this page or in a description is an example.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies, not by us. If a purchase fails to unlock what it should, write to us and we will help — but the money itself is theirs to return.
Advertising
The free version shows banner advertising supplied by Google AdMob. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom you are asked, at first launch, whether ads may be personalised; you can change that choice later in the app's settings. Refusing does not limit any counting feature.
Acceptable use
Don't use the app to break the law, don't try to interfere with its operation or with other people's data, and don't attempt to obtain paid features without paying for them.
Availability
Counting works offline, on the device. Everything that involves several devices, an account, or a purchase needs a connection and depends on services we do not run — Google, Apple, Firebase, RevenueCat. We cannot promise those will always be reachable.
What we do not guarantee
The app is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that it is free of defects or that it will suit a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profit, or losses arising from decisions taken on the basis of the numbers the app displays.
Nothing here removes rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived by agreement.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Substantial changes will be announced inside the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
Italian law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring a case before the court of your place of residence.

La tua licenza
Ricevi il diritto personale, non esclusivo e non cedibile di usare l'app sui dispositivi che possiedi o controlli. Non puoi rivenderla, noleggiarla o tentare di estrarne il codice sorgente.
Il limite di capienza è uno strumento, non una certificazione. Gate Counter conta quello che gli dici di contare. Non verifica che la capienza autorizzata del locale sia corretta, non si accorge di chi entra senza essere contato e non sostituisce i controlli previsti dall'autorità che quel limite l'ha stabilito. La responsabilità della sicurezza di un evento resta interamente di chi lo gestisce.
Account
Alcune funzioni — condividere un evento fra più dispositivi, ritrovare gli acquisti dopo una reinstallazione — richiedono un account. Tieni per te le tue credenziali: quello che viene fatto dal tuo account vale come fatto da te. Puoi chiedere in qualsiasi momento la cancellazione dell'account e dei suoi dati, come spiegato nell'informativa sulla privacy.
Cosa si può acquistare
L'app è gratuita. Due cose si pagano:
- Lo sblocco del report di un singolo evento — un pagamento una tantum. Il PDF di quell'evento resta disponibile per il tuo account. Gli altri eventi non sono compresi.
- L'abbonamento — toglie la pubblicità e sblocca il report di tutti gli eventi finché è attivo. Mensile o annuale: stessa cosa, ritmo di pagamento diverso.
Rinnovo e disdetta
Il pagamento viene addebitato sul tuo account App Store o Google Play. L'abbonamento si rinnova automaticamente allo stesso prezzo se non lo disdici almeno 24 ore prima della fine del periodo in corso. La disdetta si fa nelle impostazioni del tuo account nello store — non qui e nemmeno dentro l'app, perché solo lo store può farlo.
Prezzi
I prezzi sono sempre quelli che ti mostra il tuo store, nella tua valuta e comprensivi delle imposte del posto in cui ti trovi. Qualsiasi cifra scritta su questa pagina o in una descrizione è un esempio.
Rimborsi
I rimborsi li gestiscono Apple e Google secondo le loro regole, non noi. Se un acquisto non sblocca quello che dovrebbe, scrivici e ti aiutiamo — ma i soldi sono loro a restituirli.
Pubblicità
La versione gratuita mostra banner forniti da Google AdMob. Nello Spazio economico europeo e nel Regno Unito ti viene chiesto, al primo avvio, se gli annunci possono essere personalizzati; puoi cambiare idea più tardi dalle impostazioni dell'app. Rifiutare non limita nessuna funzione di conteggio.
Uso corretto
Non usare l'app per violare la legge, non tentare di interferire con il suo funzionamento o con i dati di altri, e non cercare di ottenere le funzioni a pagamento senza pagarle.
Disponibilità
Il conteggio funziona anche senza rete, sul dispositivo. Tutto ciò che coinvolge più dispositivi, un account o un acquisto richiede una connessione e dipende da servizi che non gestiamo noi — Google, Apple, Firebase, RevenueCat. Non possiamo garantire che siano sempre raggiungibili.
Cosa non garantiamo
L'app è fornita così com'è. Non garantiamo che sia priva di difetti né che sia adatta a uno scopo particolare. Nei limiti consentiti dalla legge non rispondiamo di danni indiretti, mancato guadagno o perdite derivanti da decisioni prese sulla base dei numeri mostrati dall'app.
Nulla di quanto scritto qui toglie i diritti che la legge riconosce ai consumatori e ai quali non si può rinunciare per contratto.
Modifiche
Se queste condizioni cambiano, cambia anche la data in alto. Le modifiche sostanziali verranno annunciate dentro l'app. Continuare a usare l'app dopo una modifica significa accettarla.
Legge applicabile
Si applica la legge italiana. Se sei un consumatore mantieni le tutele della legge del paese in cui risiedi e puoi rivolgerti al giudice del tuo luogo di residenza.
